1. Acceptance

By using Mossline you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site. We may revise these terms from time to time; the date above records the most recent revision. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Editorial content and licensing

All written content is produced in-house and remains our property. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the original article. Republishing whole articles, or using our content to train commercial models, requires written permission.

Photographs are used under Creative Commons licences held by the photographers credited on each page. Those licences run between you and the photographer, not with us; check the specific licence before reusing an image.

3. Intellectual property

The Mossline name, logo and site design are our intellectual property and may not be used without written consent. Article text, headlines and original illustrations are copyright the site operator. Third-party images are governed by their respective licences as credited.

4. Horticultural disclaimer

Our guidance describes general practice observed in indoor cultivation. Living systems vary with species, water chemistry, light, climate and handling, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Nothing here is professional horticultural, veterinary or safety advice.

You are responsible for complying with local law on plant collection, on importing living material, and on keeping invertebrates such as springtails and isopods. Never collect from protected sites. Some plants, substrates and cleaning agents are harmful to children and pets; check before use.

5. User-submitted content

If you send us a tip, correction or other content through our contact form or email, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, edit and publish that content for editorial purposes. You represent that you have the right to grant this licence.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at volume, misrepresent your identity when contacting us, or submit content you do not own. We may restrict or terminate access where use harms the service or other readers.

7. Third-party links

We link to societies, makers and suppliers as an editorial service. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or practices.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mossline is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss — including loss of plants, property, data or profit — arising from use of this site. The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at our discretion, with or without notice, for breach of these terms or for any other reason. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability — remain in effect.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator is based. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

11. Entire agreement

These terms, together with our privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mossline regarding use of the site, superseding any prior agreements.
